Three things

Yay, I survived another week of studying and another written test. Phew. (Those will never become any more fun, will they.) Am celebrating with, among other tings:

#1 Recs.
It's been a while since I last updated my McKay/Sheppard recs. The new additions are also here:

Hurt/Comfort and Angst

Done Before, Never Done At All by maisierita
Rated R, 2200 words.
"I mean," Rodney says, "that it's perfectly natural you'd have imagined me. If it were me trapped in there, I'd have imagined me. Well, no, based on past experience, I'd have imagined Carter, but I can certainly see why you'd have imagined me instead of her. Personally, I think it's the better choice."

Two Years After Tomorrow by lavvyan
Rated PG-13, 1500 words.
Aneen didn't like Colonel Sheppard much.

Romance

Fool’s Gold by esteefee
Rated NC-17, 4850 words.
"Oh, that's just great. Assuming you haven't been blasted into atoms or sucked dry by space vampires, you want your pitiful corpse to be consumed by four-eyed sharks? Anyway," Rodney stooped and dug at something in the sand, "what happens if, God forbid, I should die first?"
John couldn't say it was impossible, so he also couldn't say he damned well planned to be dead before letting anything happen to Rodney.
"Let's hope for a double funeral," John said instead with a shrug. "We'll have Teyla do the honors."
"Oh, happy day," Rodney said.

Promise by velocitygrass
Rated PG, 4100 words.
"Why do people insist on saying 'you'll find someone'? What if I don't?"

Humor and Adventure

Inappropriate by esteefee
Rated NC-17, 3900 words.
"Look, McKay, you can't keep doing this."
Rodney was stunned. "What—me? I'm not the one who's been—" Rodney gestured helplessly, "With the grabbing and the inappropriate touching—"

Sensitivity. And Stuff. by tropes
Rated PG-13, 4600 words.
Rodney flopped back down on his back. "Look, I don't know how I'm supposed to act. I haven't had a real girlfriend who actually likes me in years, and I've never really had, you know, a guy friend to even talk about it with when I did, so..." He trailed off, still staring at the ceiling.
John made himself continue folding. "So you thought you'd talk about her in frat-boy terms because I'm a guy. Right, McKay."
"Well, I just said I don't know!" Rodney replied hotly.

AUs

Nunc Dimittis by temaris
Rated G, 5100 words. The one with the monk and the knight.

Stress Relief by velocitygrass
Rated NC-17, 4400 words. The one with the physicist and the stranger.

The Difference Engine by copperbadge
Rated R, three parts, ~20000 words.
"You are one fucked-up mad scientist, you know that?"
"You asked me to build you a robot, General. I built you a robot. It's not my fault he's more useful to me than to you."

The Proposition by jane_elliot
Rated NC-17, nine parts, 62000 words. The one with the scientist and the caterer. (The cameos... Oh, the cameos!)

Hot Stuff

The Hold-Out by toomuchplor
Rated NC-17, 1300 words.
Anyway, John – yes, totally totally – had been holding out on Rodney.

#2 New SPN podfic

Title: The Dead Dean Clause
Author: [info]vichan
Fandom: Supernatural
Pairing: Dean/Castiel
Rating: PG-13
File: mp3, 32:52 minutes, ~31 MB

The text is here at the author's livejournal.

Podfic here.

#3 Writing.
Which reminds me: Would anyone around here be up for a beta? It's 4000 words of SPN Dean/Castiel fic, but be warned, it's kind of-- Well, it's crack, basically. So. Anyone?

Thank you so much for these! There is a number I haven't read. It's a good thing I didn't see this earlier, I'd never have gotten any work done *g*

It probably saved me some karma points that I didn't lure you away from work. *g*
I hope you enjoy(ed)!

I was just listening to some of my favourite podfics the other day, including "The Dead Dean Clause". That is a seriously awesome podfic. Too funny. I love your delivery through the whole thing. Every time I listen to it, I have to stop myself from bursting out laughing *g* The bit with the police officer kills me...every.single.time

I find the sobriety test hilariously funny, and Cas being sneaky and cunning just as much. I guess that shows. *g* Thank you so much! (And how cool is it that I'm pretty sure I know what your voice sounds like? *checks* Yep, thought so. I'm currently somewhere around chapter eight listening to "Thursday's Child". I've taken a break, though, because I needed something cheerful for a change. The fic is pretty heavy on the angst, which is just fine when I'm in the mood for it. :-) Anyway, you've done a great job with that one!)
